A LITTLE SOMETHING NEW...

This was the project for Elkhart EGA on Monday night.  It's a lovely little chart from Laura J. Perin called Autumn Square, and I am loving it!  I've missed canvaswork, and this was the perfect thing to give me a little break from Red Velvet Cake.

('Scuse my wonky tacks and too small stretcher bars...I only had 7's in my stash and this required 8's.)

  1. Looks like a good start, Coni. Are those gold things beads and findings? Or gold thread embroidery? Hard to tell with my presbyopia....

    1. Hi Deborah! The gold is actually gold ribbon floss (I think).

  3. Whatever works...sometimes when you are in the mood to stitch you just make do the best you can. My current one called for 8" and I only had 9" bars. It's a little close to the edge - but it's worked so far. A good dreary day for stitching something fun.

  8. Sweet memories. I am in Boston for the week House and cat sitting for my SIL who is adventuring in the Galapagos. I'm looking forward to hitting two museums - Isabelle Stewart Gardner and the Museum of Fine Arts.
